April News EXTRA

In the “missed it by that much” category, Oregon SM Rosenfeld sent me a
blurb for the news letter literaly minutes after I hit the send button
today.
So here is the final page for April.

ARRL CARP (Collegiate Amateur Radio Program) is a GO for SeaPac!

Hello, ARRL Northwest Division college hams!

Did you know that ARRL has a group specifically dedicated to college
students and clubs?

https://www.arrl.org/collegiate-amateur-radio

ARRL’s Collegiate Amateur Radio Program (CARP) meets monthly via Zoom
and has attendees from all over North America (and the world). We
proposed the idea of having a CARP presence at 2023’s SeaPac convention.
It was a huge success, with significant participation by hams from the
Oregon State University, the University of Oregon, and Portland State
University ham radio clubs.

SeaPac 2024 is from May 31 through June 2.
We will be doing a CARP booth again this year!

If you are a college student involved with your school’s ham radio club
(or maybe you’re starting one), please let us know!
