Division Advisors

The ARRL has several special committees, comprised of recognized subject matter experts in their discipline, and which report to the Board of Directors. These committees are assigned projects by the Board related to their discipline, and also bring recommendations to the Board for review. Two of these special committees are the Contest Advisory Committee (CAC), and the DX Advisory Committee (DXAC). The CAC and DXAC committees are each comprised of one member from each of the 15 ARRL Divisions, and are appointed by each Division’s Director.

The ARRL CAC is responsible for recommending changes to ARRL radiosport events, such as Field Day, the ARRL DX Contest, etc. If you have a change you would like to see made to one of the ARRL contests, or an idea for a new contest (Note: the IARU Radiosport contest, and the various CQ contests are not ARRL contests), please contact our Northwestern Division CAC member:

The ARRL DXAC is responsible for recommending changes to the DXCC country list, (currently at 339 entities), and rules pertaining to the ARRL DXCC program. Examples are additions, or deletions from the entity list, or rule changes. If you have an idea for DXCC program improvement, or a question related to the DXCC program, please contact our Northwestern Division DXAC member:
